The burning message in my heart to share is hope. As the flower that finds its way up through cracks in the concrete, this hope comes from a place of trial. We wouldn’t know the anchor of hope for our soul without being hard-pressed on all sides by trouble. From news media highlighting “the sky is falling” to work and family pressures and our question in the quiet, “what’s it all for? Why am I here?”, we need a place of refuge in the storm.
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10
Our hope is that these struggles are not in vain. Even the doubts and confusion will be the sod for life to grow as the Spirit of Christ completes his work within us! “I now dance to the song I used to cry to.” He turns mourning into dancing, and He receives all the glory as the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
I pray peace over your mind and joy in your heart this day. And may you be filled to overflow with the hope He gives through grace.
stay lovely,
the tall girl
