There have been some pretty awesome people on my journey who have poured such encouragement and passion into my soul. Austin in California became a fast friend when I lived in the suburbs of Los Angeles. During quarantine, he reached out and the hour and a half conversation left us both inspired! He is a man of big dreams and endless energy; it’s absolutely contagious!

“What If & Why Not?”
To me your dreams are a treasure. They are unique to each and every individual. I believe that every person has the right to dream, and to not just pursue happiness, but to pursue Joy. True Joy that can only come from being where you are meant to be and doing what you were created to do. For me that is empowering you to chase and achieve your dream.
‘Empower’ is by definition the handing over or giving of power. Power is something that has been twisted by this world into something complicated, something greedy, something ugly. Power, true power is simple, is strong AND beautiful, and its truest form is to be able to empower someone else. To be so confident in yourself and your own power that you can bestow that gift onto someone else is the greatest display of power. The way that I choose to empower those around me is to help them discover and achieve their dreams. So, let us talk a little about dreams. Your dreams to be specific.
Dreams. Are they thoughts? Our subconscious? To me a dream is our imagination, your imagination, allowed to run wild. Your hopes, your fears, your passions, your insecurities set free. What would you do if money were of no concern? What would you do if what people thought did not matter? What do you love? What are you passionate about? Are you doing it? Are you living your dream? When on the journey to achieving your dreams there are 2 big questions and one statement that you need to hear.
The first…..
“WHAT IF…”
What if you could find a home for every foster kid? What if you could cure cancer? What if you could sing professionally? What if you could go to the moon? What if you could be yourself? What if you deserve to be loved? What if you deserve to get your dream?
The world thought a journey to the moon was crazy until it was not.
Your dreams might be crazy… Until they are not.
Now chances are as you read this last section a thousand reasons entered your head. All telling you that you can not do it. That is why we ask another question.
“WHY NOT?”
Why not be happy? Why not love what you do? Why not be real with people and face your fears and insecurities?
Money, you say…there are zillions of dollars on this plan, there is plenty for your dream we just need to find it.
What will people think, you say…. Whose dream is this? Theirs or yours? Say it.
This. Is. MY. Dream.
Say it again.
This. Is. MY. Dream!
Shout it like you mean it. Right. Now.
THIS IS MY DREAM!
There are plenty of people who will tell you what you can not do. I want to be someone who tells you what you can do.
You can achieve your dreams!
Will you? Only you can answer that question and as you strive to answer it please keep this in mind.
The statement:
You deserve your dream! You deserve to be happy. You are loved.
Life is made up of thousands of little moments that will lead up to who you are and what you are doing. It does not matter if you failed or made a mistake or are a “bad person”. Who you are today does not have to be who you are tomorrow. Nothing is set in stone, each new day you can take one little step closer to your dream and who you want to be! You deserve to experience Joy. You deserve your dream.
